Sakura is a calm, distraction-free writing space. It is provided free of charge, with no trials, locked features, or paywalls. You write, we keep your words private to your account, and you own everything you create.
You need an account to save sessions. You agree to provide accurate information when signing up, to keep your password reasonably secure, and to let us know if you suspect someone else is using your account. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
Use Sakura for writing. Do not use it to store or transmit unlawful content, to harass others, to attempt to break the service, or to probe accounts that are not yours. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Everything you write in Sakura belongs to you. You keep all rights. We do not claim a licence to publish, sell, or repurpose your work. We will never use your writing to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for how your sessions are stored.
The Sakura letter is optional. If you opt in, you will receive at most one short email a week with writing prompts and craft tips, plus entry into a monthly draw for a free manuscript appraisal. You can unsubscribe in one click from any email.
Sakura is permanently free. There is no trial that quietly ends, no pro tier, and no surprise paywall. The optional Buy me a Coffee link is exactly that, optional. We may add new features over time, and we may change or retire features when needed. We will not start charging existing users for the core writing experience.
We do our best to keep Sakura available and pleasant to use, but we provide it on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost work, missed deadlines, or other indirect losses arising from using the service. Please keep your own copies of writing that matters to you.
You can stop using Sakura at any time and delete your account from your profile. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, and we will give reasonable notice where we can.
If we update these terms, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be flagged in-app or by email where appropriate. Continuing to use Sakura after a change means you accept the updated terms.
