Distraction-free writing
Struggle to keep forward momentum while writing fiction? Find yourself doubting everything that came before?
I keep seeing this coming up on writing advice forums, so I made Sakura. Once you end a sentence, it drifts away like a cherry blossom petal. You only get it all back for editing once you've finished your Sakura session.
How it works
Pick free, word-limited, or time-limited. That's your finish line.
Type. End a line with a period. Watch it soften and drift away.
When the session ends, every word returns, yours to keep or release.
Sessions
Different writers need different scaffolding. Sakura gives you a quiet, gentle structure, never a deadline that shouts.
Write until you stop.
Pick a target. Ends when you hit it.
Set a duration. Ends on the bell.
The gimmick
End any sentence with a period, question mark, or exclamation, and that line softens to grey and lifts off the page. You can't read it back. You can't fix it. You can only write the next one.
No formatting
Sakura is one plain text field. No bold, no headings, no bullet lists. Everything you'd normally fiddle with is simply not there, so all that's left is the writing.
Daily prompts
Feeling low on inspiration? Hit the writing prompt button to get a fresh idea. Note that Zeke creates these all personally and queues them up in the back end; they won't all be good, but at least they're not AI slop.
Save anywhere
When a session ends, you get everything back. Copy to clipboard, save as a text file, or send it straight to Google Drive, OneDrive, or iCloud. Or close the tab and let it dissolve.
The promise
Your words stay yours
Your first session is one click away. No setup, no empty templates, no credit card. Just a page that asks you, gently, to keep going.
